via startpage.com I did not find anything which relates to gexiv2.

Is there a way known how to fix it?

Cheers!

It is. But the Gentoo Bugzilla has a search field. You search for the
package name to see open bugs about the package.

Using a search engine would give me results not only from
bugzilla...I thought...but it gave me nothing related...

If a Gentoo package doesn't build, the first place to search is the
Gentoo bugzilla. You won't find Gentoo packaging bugs on Ubuntu's bug
tracker...
